AME RESIDENCY 05 with Jo Kennedy : Research Of River Colne
We are happy to announce a continuous residency series of ame. Edition 05 invites Jo Kennedy who will be spending the next months through the pandemic period to this autumn, researching the River Colne (which runs through Huddersfield) and people’s relationship with it.
During the lock-down, ame will continue with the update of residency on the various social media. Stay in touch!
The ideas and archives of her residency will be shown as her first solo exhibition at Dai Hall, followed by several events in late autumn 2020.
Jo Kennedy lives in Todmorden, West Yorks. She often works with field recordings, and sometimes video, making live and fixed pieces which incorporate natural sounds and explicitly engage with ecological issues. She’s interested in how sound, and sound art, can connect people with the natural world, whether that’s through listening, or being actively involved in making and performing with sound.
