The debut of this international trio also marks the first live performance of Takamitsu Ohta in this country,
while Anne-F Jacques has previously played both the Algomech and Audiograft festivals.

Takamitsu Ohta is a Kyoto-based artist who focuses on phenomenon, environment and regionality in his site-specific
installation works. He has exhibited installations since 2004, created sound-based performances since 2012
and has numerous publications including a monograph, Elemental Studies, which introduces his installation
works on Senufo Editions (Italy).

Anne-F Jacques is a sound artist based in Montreal, Canada. She is interested in amplification, oblique interactions between
materials and construction of various contraptions and idiosyncratic systems. Her particular focus is on low
technology, trivial objects and unpolished sounds. She has presented several sound installations and live
performances in North and South America, Europe and Japan. Anne-F is also involved with Crustacés
Tapes, a postal sound distribution project.

Ryoko Akama is a sound artist/composer/performer, who approaches listening situations that magnify silence, time and space and offer quiet temporal/spatial experiences. Her sound works employ sine tones and noised created
by small and fragile objects such as paper balloons or glass bottles, that may produce tiny occurrences that
embody ‘almost nothing’ aesthetics. She composes text events and performs a diversity of alternative
scores in collaboration with international artists. She runs melange edition label and co-edits mumei
publishing.
