The Past is Alive is a collection of visual and sound works exploring 80’s environments presented in surreal forms. The comfort of nostalgia meets the ambiguity of surrealism, opening the works up to interpretation alongside familiar forms.
Hayley Morgan (b. 1987) is a Welsh artist and musician based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. For her visual works she uses 2D and 3D graphic software to build fictional environments that reference obsolete technologies and retro pop culture, creating surreal and mysterious worlds tinged with nostalgia.
A former gigging musician, she now creates post-industrial ambient music under the name Parajanov.
