“During my residency at AME I spent time developing skills with my test equipment modular system, with the ultimate goal of hosting an improvised concert on the instrument. Test equipment interests me as a performance and idea generation tool due to the simplicity and specificity with which you are required to work. This encouraged more time spent maximising the possibilities of creation with such limited musical parameters. I spent a lot of time experimenting with video feedback and developing my approach to the visual element of a performance, considering more the presentation of instruments and how this can be thought of through the lens of the instrument as a sculpture.”
