During the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown, ame invited musicians/sound artists to undertake research and development residencies from home/their studios.
Jo Kennedy is a sound artist, audio engineer, and podcaster based in Todmorden. She is interested in how sound, and sound art, can connect people with the natural world.
Jo’s residency explored the River Colne, and people’s relationship to it culminating in ‘I am on my way to the sea’, an exhibition at Dai Hall comprising film, sound, photography and personal notes from the artist.
